Pump Cavitation Severity Evaluation Using Accelerometers and Dynamic Pressure Transducers after Installation

Learn how to use accelerometers and dynamic pressure transducers in the time domain to investigate cavitation root causes, and to quantify the cavitation severity, all with minimally invasive testing of the pump system.  Examples of cavitation in various pumps and services are presented, including cases where the mean suction pressure readings indicated sufficient NPSHA (Net Positive Suction Head Available), but large pressure pulsations entering the pump suction drove instantaneous NPSHA below the NPSHR (Net Positive Suction Head Required).
