Test Engineering Positions are presently available at Mechanical Solutions, Inc. for highly qualified and experienced individuals. Compensation: Salary is $65,000 - $100,000+ depending upon qualifications, with outstanding benefits: 401K plan with 50% match, profit sharing, significant end-of-year earned bonuses, fully paid health/ disability/ life insurance for employees, liberal holiday schedule with week off between Christmas & New Year, comp time for long hours. MSI will absorb reasonable relocation costs. Any experience level will be considered, but pay will be proportional to experience/ capabilities and achievements in the field.

Job Description: Project Engineer or Senior Staff Engineer (depending on experience and credentials), working in MSI’s spacious Whippany NJ HQ, located in a forested section of town. MSI performs engineering services, R&D, and consulting in the following areas: turbomachinery analysis/ testing/ troubleshooting, advanced I.C. engine design/ development, biomedical implant evaluation, and aerospace/ defense component design & evaluation. Work will involve stress & vibration tests in the lab or field such as modal tests, FFT time-frequency tests, and operating deflection shape (ODS) tests, at times with finite element analysis performed by the incumbent engineer and/ or others.
Requirements: Since part of the job will require working on ITAR subjects for DoD and/or working in security-sensitive plants in coastal areas, US citizenship is required. The job requires a Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering degree, preferably a Masters Degree from a major university. Strong knowledge of B&K Pulse use, LabView programming, finite element analysis, and solids modeling, is a valued plus.
