Lab Testing
MSI has experience building high-speed rigs and high-pressure loops for: pumps, compressors, turbines, magnetic bearings, and seals.
Mechanical Solutions, Inc. has the equipment and capability to cost-effectively perform extreme environment testing of various types of equipment and size. MSI has access to various temperature controlled facilities including:
- The US Army Corps of Engineers Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory (USACE CRREL)
- The US Army Tank-automotive & Armaments Command Armament Research, Development & Engineering Center (TACOM/ARDEC) at Picatinny Arsenal.
All of MSI's extensive testing capabilities can be applied to the equipment while it operates in a harsh environment.
We can perform the following testing on your rotating machinery equipment:
- Modal “Bump” Testing
- Vibration and Noise, Using Operating Deflection Shapes (ODS)
- Frequency Spectrum Signature Testing
- Cavitation, Pressure Pulsation, and Noise Testing
- Non-contact Measurement Using a Laser Vibrometer
- Rotor Torsional Testing
- Torque Telemetry
