Solid Modeling and FEA
Design, Solids Modeling, & Finite Element Analysis Capabilities:
MSI provides 3D Solids Modeling using Pro/Engineer® or SolidWorks®, CAD drawings using AutoCAD®, and complex CAE meshing using FEmap® and proprietary meshing programs. MSI can create and hex- or tet-mesh the most complicated of 3-D solid models. We can import and export models from nearly any solid modeling, CAD, or FEA package.
MSI offers Finite Element Analysis FEA using:

- NeiNASTRAN®
- Pro/Mechanica®
All types of mechanical engineering evaluations are performed by MSI. This includes:
- Nonlinear stress & deflection
- Contact analysis
- Thermal analysis, both steady state and transient
- Fluid-Structure Interaction (FSI)
- Vibration natural frequency & mode shapes
- Vibration harmonic analysis or time integration analysis of Forced Response
- Shock evaluation using time integration or shock spectrum SRSS approaches
- Buckling or dynamic stability
